More about the Law Deskbook:

The MSBA Maryland Employment Law Deskbook is the long-awaited addition to the MSBA’s catalog of publications. This publication is carefully written to offer compelling, practical, cost-effective advice in representing plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state causes of action, including claims alleged under the National Labor Relations Act, Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Maryland Labor & Employment Code.

Of many highlights in this publication, of great significance is the discussion and overview of the landmark case Friolo v. Frankel, 373 Md. 501 (2003)—discussed at length in Chapter 25—in which Maryland’s highest court recently heard issues pertaining to an award of shifted attorney’s fees.

Whether a seasoned or new practitioner, the MSBA Maryland Employment Law Deskbook is designed to engage all readers, and is crafted to assist practitioners in becoming more familiar with the complexities of employment law.
